Octo

Business case: Modern users want an improved user experience when finding information on websites. Artificial intelligence assistants like Alexa, Siri, Cortana, and Google Assistant have large implications for finding information quickly and accurately. These tools are becoming generally available to the public in the form of software-as-a-service such as Amazon Lex. The problem of creating Chat Bots using these tools is one of scale. The information is already available on websites, but currently the only way to create a Bot with that dataset is to manually enter in the information.

Challenge: Build an application that programmatically creates a Chat Bot using the Amazon Lex model building API. Octo will provide the Team with a JSON file representing a common website FAQ. The application should use the JSON file and Lex API to programmatically build (non-manual) a Chat Bot where an end user can ask a question and receive the answer.
